Which commission rate applies to a Copy Partner?

A Copy Partner always receives the highest commission rate they qualify for. For each investor they have referred, this rate is locked in and can’t go down.

How the rate is chosen

  • Standard rate: applies to every Copy Partner by default. Traders can share 5% to 90% of their commission
  • Tier rate: applies once a Copy Partner earns the amount the Trader set for that tier (see article)
  • Partner Group rate: applies to Copy Partners the Trader has added to a group (see article)

If a Copy Partner qualifies for more than one rate, for example, a tier and a Partner Group, the higher rate applies.

Rate protection principle

The commission rate is protected for each investor a Copy Partner has referred, not for the Copy Partner as a whole. Once an investor is linked to a rate, that rate can’t go down:

  • If the Trader deletes or changes a tier or a Partner Group, investors already referred by the Copy Partner keep the highest rate that has applied to them
  • Investors who have already been referred by a Copy Partner keep the rate that applied to them, even if the Trader later lowers the standard rate
  • The Trader’s changes can raise the rate for existing investors, but never lower it. A lower rate applies only to investors referred after the change

As a result, a Copy Partner may receive different rates from different investors.

In the Copy Partner Dashboard, investors with such a rate are marked with a shield icon and labelled Protected commission rate. This means the Copy Partner keeps receiving a higher rate for this investor, even though the current conditions set a lower one.

Who pays the Copy Partner’s reward?

The Copy Partner’s reward comes out of the Trader’s commission, never on top of it. Investors pay the same commission whether they subscribe directly or through a Copy Partner link.

Example: an investor makes 1,000 USD in profit, and the Trader’s commission is 25%. The investor pays 250 USD. If the investor was referred by a Copy Partner with a 50% rate, the Copy Partner receives 125 USD, and the Trader keeps 125 USD.
