After the project at Xerox PARC failed, Warnock and Geschke launched the language on their own, which provoked the interest of Steve Jobs. They received their first contract from Steve Jobs, which enabled them to cut loose and chart their own course. Among Adobe Systems’ revolutionary solutions are the PDF format, a flash player, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. In 2016, Adobe made $8 billion, while its shares went up 46%.
