Shell Midstream Partners, L.P. (Ticker: SHLX) was a master limited partnership (MLP) formed by Shell plc to own, operate, develop, and acquire pipelines and other midstream assets in the United States. Its assets included a network of pipelines and terminals that transported crude oil, refined products, and natural gas, supporting Shell’s upstream and downstream operations.
In 2022, Shell plc acquired all outstanding common units of SHLX, resulting in the partnership becoming a wholly owned subsidiary of Shell. This move integrated SHLX’s midstream operations directly into Shell’s portfolio to streamline its energy infrastructure.
