The Yen reached stability. Overview for 29.03.2018

USDJPY is reaching stability after three consecutive trading sessions of quick growth.

On Thursday morning, the Japanese Yen is regaining positions against the USD. The current quote for the instrument is 106.43.

The statistics from Japan published in the morning showed that the Retail Sales added 1.6% y/y in February after expanding by 1.5% y/y in the previous month and against the expected reading of +1.7% y/y. On MoM, the indicator increased by 0.4% after losing 1.6% in January.

In Japan, the Retail Sales compares the aggregated sales of retail goods and services during a certain month to the same month a year ago. The stronger the number, the better for the Yen.

In the evening, the USA will published a lot of interesting statistics, which may help the American currency to continue its growth, such as the Unemployment Claims, the Personal Income/Spending, and the Revised Consumer Sentiment report from the University of Michigan.

Taken together, these numbers may confirm the trend and help USDJPY to resume rising.
